Families
St Margaret Mary’s values the contributions of all members of the community and aim to work in partnership with the families, parishioners and our wider community to ensure rich learning experiences and valuable community engagement.
Fundraising and Social Group
The Fundraising and Social Group (FSG) and the Advisory Board work with the Leadership Team to plan and execute activities aligned with our goals and contributing to our overall success.
The FSG supports the school with fundraising and social events that bring our community together, create opportunities for families to connect and raise funds for the school.
Members volunteer their time and expertise to deliver activities throughout the year such as:
The St Margaret Mary’s Trivia night
AFL Footy Tipping Competition
Easter raffle
School discos
Mother’s and Father’s Day celebrations
Mum’s Night Out
Family movie nights
School Colour run
The efforts of the volunteer group help to build a better environment for the children and the school is exceptionally grateful for all that members do for us. The FSG welcomes new members at any time throughout the year.
School Advisory Council
The St Margaret Mary’s School Advisory Council was established by our former Parish Priest, Fr Joe McMahon, and is commissioned by our Parish Priest, Fr Binh Le, to act as an advisory body on matters concerning the development of the school and the education and welfare of the students.
Meetings are held twice per term to review activities and allow the school to gain parental input into matters that impact the school and children.
2022 School Advisory Council members are Eliza Liddy (Chairperson), Amanda D’Rozario, Denise Slattery, Andrew Bryson, Kelley Revelman, Fr Binh Le (Parish Priest), Andrea Richards (Ex-Officio - Principal) and Simon Devlin (Ex-Officio - Deputy Principal and Advisory Council Secretary).
The council welcome new input and new perspectives from current and past parents. Any correspondence for the board can be forwarded to the Chair Person and/or Principal.

We are privileged to have the help of parents and families who support our school. Parent helpers can commit regular hours each week or help out for a specific event or purpose where their skills can be applied. If you do wish to help out, there is no minimum commitment.
Parent helpers are welcome in the following areas:
Assisting in classrooms, on excursions, sporting events and other occasions
Assisting our library service (covering new library books, shelving returned books)
